Each course is two weeks long and includes hands-on exercises and workshops in our state-of-the-art lab and factory environment. The course is supplemented by site visits to world-class technology and manufacturing companies in Switzerland. You will learn from our experienced instructors and experts who will guide you through the theory and practice of each topic. By the end of each course, you will be able to apply what you learned to your own manufacturing context and teach others how to do the same.
C1. Digital Factory for Future Manufacturing
This course will teach you how to apply digital technologies to improve your manufacturing and supply chain processes. You will learn how to build a digital factory with digital twins for modelling and simulation, and leverage novel VR/AR/Metaverse applications. You will gain hands-on experience with relevant digital tools and platforms that can enhance your skills to plan and optimize complex manufacturing and supply chain process.
C2. Artificial Intelligence for Future Manufacturing
This course will introduce you to the applications and benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) in manufacturing. You will learn how to use AI techniques such as machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics to automate tasks, improve decision making, and create new value propositions. You will also get to practice with real-world examples and case studies of AI-driven manufacturing solutions.
C3. Sustainable Manufacturing and Value Networks
This course will help you understand the environmental and social impacts of manufacturing and how to reduce them. You will learn how to apply the principles of circular economy, eco-design, life cycle assessment, and green supply chain management to your manufacturing operations. You will also explore the opportunities and challenges of sustainable manufacturing in terms of competitiveness, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
C4. Resiliency Strategies for Future Manufacturing
This course will equip you with the skills and strategies to cope with uncertainties and disruptions in manufacturing. You will learn how to assess the cyber risks and vulnerabilities of your manufacturing system and how to implement resilience measures such as flexibility, agility, adaptability, and robustness.
